To feel your way into life

People use their senses intuitively. We process impressions rational and emotional respectively and learn by seeing, hearing, tasting, smelling or feeling. The sense of touch lets us literally „grasp“ the world.

Tactile sensations are communicated through our skin: our biggest organ. The whole body would be affected from losing the sense of touch - head to toe.

The forgotten sense?

Sensual sensations happen as quick as a flash, and tactile impulses are processed mainly unknowingly. Is feeling more self-evident then seeing? Our language certainly makes distinctions: people become blind or deaf.

But how do you label a person that has no sense of touch?
